I decided to play along with The Paper Players and their “Lost In Space” theme challenge. I don’t have any space themed stamps, so I thought to go with the celestial look using the Level Complete stamp set.
If you are a gamer or have gamers in your household, there are some fun games that have a space theme. I mentioned “Space Invaders” to my kids and they gave me a huge eye roll. I created my card with the space themed games in mind.
My color combination was Orchid Oasis, Highland Heather, Crushed Curry and Blackberry Bliss. I used the Orchid Oasis ombre glimmer paper as a background for my game controllers. To get the ombre effect on the game controllers, I blended Orchid Oasis and Highland Heather ink onto fluid watercolor paper, allowed it to dry and then heat embossed the game controller image with silver embossing powder.
I added accents of gold on to the game controllers with a gold gel pen. The sentiment was also heat embossed in silver onto Crushed Curry cardstock. Of course, I added some gems for sparkle.
This was a fun theme challenge from The Paper Players. Be sure to visit their site and check out the other celestial crafts and creations. Thanks for stopping by!
