Paper Pumpkin

Throwback: Sunflowers & My First Paper Pumpkin Kit

This was the kit that started my Paper Pumpkin journey. I loved the Sweet Sunflowers kit and it was the reason I signed up for a subscription. I brought out the stamps and what what was left of the kit to have some fun and to create a card for the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge.

The inspiration picture is quite lovely, and the colours are quite subtle. I chose to pull the bright, bold orange and rust colours and used those as the focus for my design.

Sunflowers stamped in orange and yellow and heat embossed in gold. Decorated with honeycomb gold foil.

Do you remember the gorgeous honeycomb foils that came with this Paper Pumpkin set? I was hoarding them, but I finally decided to cut them up and make this set of cards. Of course, with all that gold, I had to heat emboss the sentiments in gold too! Don’t you just love all the gold glimmer and shimmer?

I plan on revisiting quite a few retired Paper Pumpkin sets. Stay tuned. And, if you love precut & pre-designed crafts, then Paper Pumpkin is for you! Sign up for a 3-month subscription with me and receive a special gift. Sign up HERE.
